Use a nose clip.
Because the hot air will rise over the mask, you may simply pull it up and embrace the bridge of your nose. To correct that, we should use a mask with a nose clip to hug the bridge of your nose more snugly, preventing the mask from slipping down when moving vigorously.
This is the simplest method because most medical masks on the market come fitted with this nose clip and are inexpensive. The disadvantage is that if you move too quickly, the mask will come off, and raising it up too high will obscure your eyesight.
Wash your glasses with soap.
This is a common method among surgeons, and it has been published in both the Journal of the Royal College of Surgeons of England and the American Medical Library (Med Pub) in March 2011, demonstrating its effectiveness.
The procedure is really simple: simply immerse the glasses in a solution of soap and water, shake off the excess water, and allow to dry naturally. If you need to clean the glass quickly, use a soft cloth to gently wash it off. This method works because the water and soap molecules build a layer on the glass, preventing fog from forming.
Baby shampoo, hand soap, dishwashing liquid, etc can be used as solutions. To avoid damage to glasses with specific coatings, a doctor’s prescription is required. For nearsighted glasses, apply anti-fog spray.
There is already a very convenient anti-fog spray on the market; all you have to do is spray it and it will form a film that prevents fog from appearing on your glasses. Swimming goggles, safety glasses, diving masks, and other varieties are also designed to fit the function of each type of glass.
Although simple, you need to choose sprays from reputable, quality brands to avoid damaging the special coating of some types of glasses. Do not use anti-fogging sprays and they will be harmful if they come into contact with your skin and eyes.
Fix the mask with sports/medical tape.
This is quite effective because the mask will be tight, hug the bridge of your nose and will not fall off easily. But you should be careful to choose medical tape, sports tape, etc. to help sensitive skin. When removing it, you must be gentle because it can easily hurt.
The process is simple: cut a piece of adult mask 10 – 15cm long and adhere the top edge to the bridge of your nose, being sure to press it tightly. You can also place it over both ears to reduce hot air escaping and fogging up your glasses.
