This Monday, British royalty began their tour to the Channel Islands, continuing their summer schedule despite King Charles III’s illness.
Camilla stunned everyone on the tour when she appeared with a bandaged foot.
Queen Camilla’s Injury
According to correspondents covering the occasion, the queen had a sprain the day before.
The photographs of the queen caught people’s attention since she, too, walked with an umbrella.
Despite the injury, Camilla did not let the sprain or bandage interfere with her itinerary or good mood, greeting and accepting congratulations from the public as she approaches her 77th birthday on Wednesday.
Although Buckingham has not issued an official comment regarding the incident, multiple British media agencies have revealed that Camilla sprained her ankle in Jersey, one of the islands featured in the royal visit of the region.
Photographs from the day clearly show the bandage. Camilla was dressed in a Klein blue dress and jacket outfit, which is one of her most prevalent colors.
The midi-length design with embroidered trim and cuffs was typical of her style.
The queen often skips high heels in favor of more comfortable shoes. Due to a right foot injury, she opted for a two-tone nude model with a black toe cap.
She also wore a gorgeous four-strand pearl necklace with a rhinestone clasp in the front, as well as diamond and sapphire earrings that matched her Fiona Clare dress and King Charles’ blue carnation in his lapel.
The umbrella not only provided support but also served as a useful accessory.
Heavy rain dominated Monday’s visit to Jersey. This Tuesday, the sun accompanied the kings, but Camilla decided to walk with an umbrella for safety.
Despite the setbacks, Queen Camilla resumed her busy agenda on the island of Guernsey, which included the opening of Parliament, a meeting with youngsters, and a trip through a local market, where they sampled regional food and drinks.
