The Biological base of Your Behavior
In the word of science exists a theory which is known as the theory of left-brain or right-brain dominance.
According to this theory, each part of the brain is designed to function differently, even though the key work is to think. It is also said that people prefer one way of thinking more than the other.
People who are said to be left-brained have a more practical, rational and objective outlook on things.
To the contrary, people who are right-brained believe more in intuitions and have a more subjective approach to things.
The brain is initially divided into two parts which are connected to each other via the Corpus Callosum.
The Corpus Callosum is a thick band of nerve fibers that divides the cerebral cortex lobes into the left and right hemispheres.
Its work is to connect the left and right sides of the brain allowing for communication between both hemispheres.
In his website, ‘The brain from top to bottom”, the famous neuroscientist Bruno Dubuc mentions the link between the sides of the brain and body.
According to him the left side of your brain is responsible for the actions of the right side of your body and the left side of your body is controlled by the right side of your brain.
Two of the 19th-century neurologists, Dr. Pierre Paul Broca and Dr. Karl Wernicke, discovered that people have language issues due to damages caused in the left side of the brain which very well concludes that it is the left side of the brain where language resides and hence the source of all creativity.
It will be interesting to find out by the application of this above theory if we are left-brained or right-brained, by the way, we process images.
