The Beverly Hills, 90210 actress shares her son Beau with Dean McDermott, a former Chopped Canada host.
Tori Spelling has revealed an uncommon way of ensuring her youngster is up and ready for the school run.
On a recent episode of her misSPELLING podcast, mother-of-five Victoria ‘Tori’ Spelling wondered if she was a ‘poor mom’ for being ‘ so ℓαzу’ with her youngest kid, Beau.
Tori, the daughter of Broadway producer Carole Gene ‘Candy’ Spelling and the late film producer Aaron Spelling, is best known for her role as Donna Martin in Beverly Hills, 90210 and its 2019 spin-off, BH90210.
The 51-year-old has also appeared in Scary Movie 2, her and her ex-husband’s reality series, Tori & Dean: Home Sweet Hollywood, and as a participant in The Masked Singer (Spanish and American versions).
“It’s so bad,” the actress told her podcast guest, American singer Denise Gibson, 53, about her parenting hack.
“At night I put him in his clothes for the next day. And convinced him that it’s cool to do that.”
The celebrity described Beau’s nighttime routine as follows: “So, he has dinner, and he takes a bath – sometimes. I’m just kidding, he always takes a bath.
“But then I’ll be like, ‘Hey, dude. You know, it’ll save like an extra five minutes if we get dressed now and then you can sleep later’.”
Tori admitted to the controversial practice and asked the ’80s sensation if she was a ‘bad mom’.
“I think if you’re getting through it,” the Foolish Beat hitmaker replied. “You’re good.”
Tori and her ex-husband Dean McDermott have four children together: Liam, 17, Stella, 16, Hattie, 12, and Finn, 11.
The couple met while filming the TV drama Mind Over Matter and married in a secret ceremony in Fiji in 2006 before renewing their vows in Beverly Hills.
However, after welcoming their youngest son Finn in 2013, US Weekly reported that the 57-year-old had been disloyal to Tori.
Their issues with marriage were portrayed on the Lifetime reality show True Tori.
Despite getting their marriage back on track, Tori and Dean announced their split in June 2023, with the former filing for divorce earlier this year.
Tori told E! News a month after their breakup in March that she, her former husband, and their five children were ‘doing great’.
“We’re all hanging in. “We’ll always be a family,” she said. “Whether there’s a title on it or not so, it’s just time to move forward.”
