Potato mix:
- Potatoes: 1 kilogram
- Egg: 1
- Flour: 2-3 tablespoons
- Add salt and pepper according to your preference.
- Oil made from vegetables: for cooking in hot oil.
- Ground meat: 350 grams
- Onion: 1 Carrot: 1 Mushrooms: 300g
- Amount of vegetable oil: 40 milliliters.
- Add salt, pepper, and paprika according to your preference.
- Dill: 20 grams
Directions:
- Get the potatoes ready.
- Peel the potatoes and cook them in water until they are soft.
- Crush the cooked potatoes and allow them to cool down.
- Mix the egg, flour, salt, and pepper with the mashed potatoes until well combined.
Make the filling:
- Cut the onion, carrot, and mushrooms into very small pieces.
- Warm up some vegetable oil in a pan and cook the onion until it becomes see-through.
- Put the carrots and mushrooms in the pan and cook until they are soft.
- Put the ground meat in the pan and break it into pieces while it cooks.
- Add salt, pepper, and paprika according to your preference.
- After the meat is fully cooked, take the pan off the stove and stir in the chopped dill.
- Make the potato cakes.
- Take a small amount of the potato mix and press it down with your hand.
- Put a spoonful of the filling in the middle.
- Wrap the potato mixture around the filling and shape it into a flat round shape, making sure the filling is covered completely.
- Cook the potato patties in a pan.
- Warm vegetable oil in a pan on medium heat.
- Cook the potato cakes in hot oil until they are golden and crispy on both sides.
- Take out of the pan and let the excess oil absorb on paper towels.
- Enjoy the potato cakes hot as a tasty main dish or starter.
