Celebrities attempting to escape the aging process through fad diets, drastic weight-loss regimes, or plastic surgery are not new. What has changed is the difficulty they have in keeping it a secret.
With the speed with which images may fly around the world – mostly thanks to the internet – fans can see their favorite star’s new hairstyle or altered appearance within minutes after it is disclosed.
Despite the increased cultural emphasis on compassion and the old adage “if you don’t have anything nice to say, don’t say anything at all,” there are always those who want to offer their harsh ideas online.
Sandra Bullock is probably all too familiar with this reality. The renowned actress has been a major figure in the entertainment world for decades, so she understands both the advantages and disadvantages of the celebrity lifestyle.
This experience is obviously useful, since it appears that people can’t stop commenting on her attractiveness. The *Miss Congeniality* star, who is now 60 years old, caused a lot of buzz after making an appearance at TV anchor Hoda Kotb’s 60th birthday celebrations.
Bullock came in a video segment on *Today with Hoda & Jenna* dressed in a stylish black gown and offered an emotional message to host Hoda.
Sandra Bullock started with her trademark charm: “Hoda, Hoda, Hoda, Hoda. I had so many brilliant and funny things planned for you, but girl, I’m just too tired!”
She continued with her explanation: “Tired because I had to climb that mountain ahead of you, to scout the terrain, see what things look like, and get the feel of it so I could fill you in.”
With a touch of optimism, she said, “It’s strange how people want us to fear what might be waiting at the top. But guess what? It’s pretty damn great, it’s pretty awesome.”
Bullock’s poignant remark resonated on social media, eliciting a variety of responses from users.
One individual said, “Sandra, your hair looks terrific—I’ve never seen it like that; it looks great!”
Another exclaimed, “I am mind blown that Sandra is 60!!”
However, not everyone was so complimentary. One more critical person wrote, “A highly paid facelift and well-placed Botox = Beautiful results.”
Another commented, “Too much Botox in her upper lip.”
Personally, I believe Sandra Bullock looks great for her age. What are your thoughts? Please share your opinions in the comments!
