A woman from Maryland was going about her day on social media, like she typically does when she came across a video that stopped her in her tracks.
Izabele Lomax paused to take a closer look at the video, which proved what she originally thought: she was looking at a video of herself.
The post she stumbled upon was a screenshot from a prior post. Someone had recorded Lomax breastfeeding in public and expressed regret that she hadn’t covered up.
The screenshot Lomax discovered was shared by a woman in a nursing support group.
She captioned the photo: “Just pulled up my Facebook and was greeted with this, and I just cannot understand how another female can say this and take VIDEO of this momma feeding her baby and post it to the internet.”
Lomax felt the same way because the lady breastfeeding her child in the video was her. She remembered the moment: “I was like, ‘That’s me!'” The young mother had no idea she was being secretly filmed while feeding her baby.
The person who created and posted the video stated that they did not aim to embarrass women who breastfeed in public. They wrote, “I’m shaming the woman who breastfeeds in public with no respect to cover themselves up.”
She stated that she did not want to watch topless ladies on the beach and did not want to block her son’s eyes and explain what the topless woman was doing.
The footage shows Lomax breastfeeding her infant on the beach under an umbrella. She had no idea she was being secretly filmed.
Lomax, on the other hand, refused to take it lying down and chose to confront the woman who had recorded a video of her without her permission. What had begun as a nice day at the beach with her fiance, baby, and parents had turned unpleasant because someone disagreed with her selections.
Lomax replied with a video and a post of her own. She said, “Not only did this woman walk past me multiple times with her son, you had every opportunity in the world to say something to me.”
She stated that while she would not have stopped breastfeeding her infant at the beach, the woman who took a secret video of her should have attempted to speak with her rather than filming her without her knowledge.
She also stated that the lady should not have se..xualized the idea of breastfeeding for her four-year-old kid. Lomax questioned whether the woman had “her own set of issues” based on how she handled the event.
“If you have the time to take a video of me and make this joke of a Facebook post, you have the time to educate your son about the fact that babies are fed this way,” the furious young mother wrote.
People completely sided with Lomax, and the original poster even deleted the video she posted. People were surprised at what the woman did to teach a young breastfeeding mom a lesson.’ One commenter wrote, “Who does this lady think needs protection? Kids? You just tell your kid, ‘That lady is feeding her baby.’ Then the kid asks some questions, and you answer and move on. You know, like parenting.”
Another person pointed out that the baby’s head covered any nu:dity the original poster was worried about.
